Recent Winner of the 2011 National Arts Centre Award, Ballet Jörgen Canada Opens its Studio Doors to Showcase Innovative Choreography, Productions-in-Development and Interactive Exchange with Dancers and Choreographers.

Toronto ON – (November 10, 2011) The neighbouring communities of George Brown College are invited to an in-studio presentation of new works from Ballet Jörgen Canada repertoire and an exciting opportunity to interact with dancers and choreographers. New works will be featured from Solos and Duets as well as excerpts from Life & Laughter, The Nutcracker, a Canadian Tradition and others. Performances will be introduced by choreographers and there will be an opportunity to meet the dancers.

IMG_5713Approaching its 25th anniversary next year, Ballet Jörgen Canada provides opportunities for innovative Canadian choreographers, and fosters engagement with communities through its outreach programs and educational activities. Ballet Jörgen Canada conducts extensive tours every year, bringing ballet performances to over 40,000 people in every region of Canada and the northern United States.
