George Brown Dance Faculty at CBJ’s Summer Dance

George Brown Dance is a partnership between Canada’s Ballet Jörgen and George Brown College. Because of this partnership, George Brown Dance benefits from a specially curated group of teachers which follows the superb training set by artistic director, Bengt Jörgen.

George Brown Dance faculty members will be teaching all across the programs: Cindy Macedo and Catherine Glasser for ballet, our yearly summer guest Debbie Wilson teaches ballet and yoga, Dana Bondy joins us for Pilates along with Jennifer Robichaud who will also teach Jazz this summer along with Stephanie Galpern, Nicola Pantin teaches Modern along with guest Ryan Lee and past faculty member Meredith Thompson, three GBD graduates Derick Robinson, Lindsay Aquin and Jamee Valin join us to teach Hip Hop and Jazz. Sion Irwin-Childs joins us again this summer to teach his loved composition classes.

In addition to GBD faculty we also have current and past CBJ dancers teaching and coaching at Summer Dance.

Ballet Master, Hiroto Saito will be teaching ballet, repertoire, pas de deux, and coaching. Alumna CBJ dancer and GBD graduate, Clea Iveson will be teaching pointe, repertoire and privates.

Principal dancers Saniya Abilmajineva and recent retiree Taylor Gill along with Soloists Annelie Liliemark and Gustavo Hernandez will also be teaching various levels and classes. CBJ dancer Elizabeth Gagnon will be teaching Ballet for the Summer I Intensive and alumna principal dancer, Tara Butler, will be joining us this summer  — teaching two guest classes in the first week of Summer Dance.
