Anique Asher was appointed Executive Vice President, Finance & Strategy in November 2020. In this role she has responsibility for enterprise strategy, financial planning and forecasting, strategic project prioritization and delivery, capital management and finance support for the Corporate Functions.
Anique joined the bank in 2018 as Senior Vice President, Planning, Analysis & Optimization. Before joining Scotiabank, Anique held roles of progressive seniority at multinational financial firms in Financial Planning and Analysis as well as Investor Relations.
Anique is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds an Honours undergraduate degree and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. She is also a Director of Canada’s Ballet Jorgen.
Anique lives in Toronto with her husband and two sons.
