Estelle Tang is a Hong Kong-Canadian emerging dancer trained in ballet, modern, and martial arts. Before attending George Brown Dance, Estelle was enrolled at Jean M Wong School of Ballet (Hong Kong), Interplay School of Dance (Toronto) and Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive (USA). She has performed in classical ballets such as Cinderella and Coppelia, while also taking part in contemporary pieces, outdoor improvisation shows and parades. She has collaborated with notable choreographers Derek Sangster, Sharon Moore and Dave Wilson. In creation, she draws inspiration from many media, such as instrumental music, animated films and video games. Besides dance, as a taekwondo athlete recruited by the Hong Kong Team, her career highlights include 2 Golds at Asian Cities Championships and Bronze at China Nationals. Estelle is excited to continue developing her artistry as a Mentee with CBJ.
